The new and modern service centre is designed to adapt to the needs of its residents.
A new building is scheduled for completion in late 2026 at Simontie 5 in Vantaa’s Simonkylä. It becomes part of the Tikkurila Senior Centre together with the existing Simonkylä Senior Centre.
The new four-storey building has a total customer capacity of 146 persons in communal housing and 24-hour assisted housing.
The centre can be adapted to accommodate the various needs of its residents.
“Residents won’t have to move to another care home when their care needs increase; instead, they can continue living in the same familiar environment,” says Armi Hyry, Director of Assisted Living Services.
Each floor features comforts such as lounges and dining areas as well as sauna facilities. There are also shared multipurpose, culture, and therapy rooms.
Nature has been chosen as the theme for the building, which is reflected both in the interior design and the courtyard garden. The building also makes use of renewable energy through a geothermal heating system and solar panels.
