A new shared service number is used in VAKEs home care

Earlier the clients and loved ones have contacted their shift manager for the home care in their own county, and the employees have answered the telephone beside other work. In the future contacts can be made to the same number 09 4191 6040.

- The centralized service number serves both clients and employees. For clients this gives clarity and for the employees it gives more time for direct client work, tells VAKES executive director for living at home Aila Halonen.

The previous service numbers to the home care have been moved the shared service number. The change concern VAKEs own home care, and doesn´t concern home care produced as outsourced service.

When can I call the service number?

You can call the service number, when the client or the loved one has a matter to the home care. These situations can for example be changes in home cares visiting times or other matter regarding daily life.

Service number 09 4191 6040 serves on office days from 7 to 14.

Telephone calls during evenings and weekends are forwarded to the remote home care, who will forward them if necessary. In emergency situations always call the emergency number 112.

We prefer contact primarily in weekdays 7–14. If your matter concern the night of the same day, following weekday morning or weekend, it can be good to call during evenings and weekends.

How does the service number work?

The telephone call will always be answered by a home care professional, who will forward the matter if needed to the clients home care unit in his/hers county. The unit contacts the client according to urgency of the matter.

Text messages or voice mail messages can´t be sent to the service number.
