Physiotherapy for adults

The service is intended for clients of the wellbeing services county from around the age of 13 (students in lower and upper secondary school, and adults). It is provided based on a health care professional's assessment of the need for treatment and its urgency.

Contact the physiotherapy

You can due to musculoskeletal symptoms (for example pain in back or neck) directly be in contact with the telephone service of physiotherapy at number 09 4191 1120. Based on the assessment of the need of care you can get guidance and advice as well as a booked appointment to physiotherapy.

Persons under 16 years and clients, who seek physiotherapy for reasons other than musculoskeletal symptoms, need a recommendation or a referral made by a doctor, nurse or other social and health care professional on an appointment.

When you have received a recommendation or a referral you can contact the telephone service to the physiotherapy at the number 09 4191 1120.

Direct access to physiotherapy

In acute musculoskeletal symptoms the client who is 16 years can directly go to a physiotherapist to make an assessment of the needed care. You can contact the telephone service to the physiotherapist on the number 09 4191 1120. Based on the assessment an appointment to direct access to a physiotherapist can be booked either to the same or following day.

The physiotherapist conduct a clinical examination, provide guidance on self-care, issue a sick leave note if necessary, and give instructions on the use of over-the-counter medications at the appointment. If needed the physiotherapist can consult a doctor on call.

If you have fever, your symptoms have begun from an accident or you are under 16 years, contact MyTeam at the health centre either by email (Klinik) or in urgent matter by telephone.

Cancel the appointment

The appointment can be cancelled via Maisa or, outside of phone service hours, by voicemail. Please include your appointment details (clinic and time) and your personal details (name and date of birth) in your message.
A new appointment can be booked by calling the physiotherapy´s phone service on the number 09 4191 1120.
