On this page, you will find information on the activities of the Advisory Committee for Organisational Cooperation. The Local Democracy and Inclusion Board adopted the rules of procedure of the Advisory Committee for Organisational Cooperation at its meeting on 15 April 2024.

The Advisory Committee started its work in autumn 2024. The new 2025–2027 term started with the first meeting on 14 October 2025.

The role of the Advisory Committee for Organisational Cooperation is to support the coordinating work of the Local Democracy and Inclusion Board with regard to organisational cooperation and to strengthen the operational preconditions of organisations in the county. The Advisory Committee creates an overall picture of organisational cooperation, participates in the planning and development of organisational cooperation in the wellbeing services county and prepares initiatives, opinions, statements and proposals for the Board’s consideration. In addition, it acts as a multidisciplinary cooperation body for organisations, represents non-member organisations in the Wellbeing Services County of Vantaa and Kerava and strengthens client involvement in cooperation with the Local Democracy and Inclusion Board. 

Members

The Advisory Committee for Organisational Cooperation has 10 full members and 10 alternate members representing organisations. The Advisory Committee for Organisational Cooperation elects a Chair and a Vice-Chair from among its members. The Chair for the 2025–2027 term is Heli Lumiaro (Vantaan Järjestörinki ry) and the Vice-Chair is Kaisli Syrjänen (Yksin vanhempana ry). The chairs were elected at the first meeting of the Advisory Committee on 14 October 2025.

Rules of procedure

The Local Democracy and Inclusion Board adopted the rules of procedure of the Advisory Committee for Organisational Cooperation at its meeting on 15 April 2024. The rules of procedure of the Advisory Committee for Organisational Cooperation were updated at the meeting of the Local Democracy and Inclusion Board on 23 April 2025 with regard to the duration of the term of office. It was decided that the following sentence be added to the rules of procedure: “Only full terms of office shall count as a term of office.” The purpose of this addition was to clarify the situation of the first incomplete term of office.
