VAKEs new client fees will come into effect from 1.1.2026

The wellbeing services county´s county council has 9.12.2026 decided on the client fees for 2026. The fee list will come into effect 1.1.2026. The fees are based on the Act and Decree on Client Charges. The exception is the health centre doctor´s remote appointment, which is kept as a more affordable alternative. The fee for the remote appointment is 28,20 euro.  

Sket-fee for communal housing for elderly

The fee to improve social interaction (sket) is a new fee, which is taken into use in communal housing for elderly and it will be charged from 1.9.2026 at the latest or when it is technically possible to invoice the payment. With this fee we want to ensure, that the daily life in the communal housing is functional and supportive of the client´s wellbeing. The payment helps us provide our residents with more diverse, personalized, and meaningful community activities. 

Some itemisations as well as technical corrections has also been made to the client fee prize list. 

The client fees can be deducted or exempted  

If the charge of client fee jeopardizes your daily living or the statuary legal maintenance of your family, you can apply for a deduction or exemption of the fee. Deduction can be applied for client fees in social work and for payments in social and health care which based on the ability to pay. Based on the application is assessed, if the prerequisites are filled and a decision is made.
