It is not good to be alone with distressing thoughts. Help is available.

The shooting incident, that happened on tuesday 2.4 at Viertola School in Vantaa at Jokiranta unit evokes a wide range of distressing feelings. It is good to talk openly about your feelings, so you should not be alone with them. The precence of a safe adult is important now.  

"Children need the support and precense from an close adult in this kind of situation. It is good to talk openly with children and young persons, taking into account their age. The best way for parents to create a safe environment is to stick on to daily routines", says director for social and crisis emergency service Henna Niskanen.
