Yhteystiedot
The Communicable Diseases and Infection Control Unit is responsible for the statutory control of communicable diseases and healthcare-associated infections. In addition to infectious disease doctors, our unit employs infectious disease nurses, hygiene nurses and practical nurses.
We also provide consultation, guidance and training for staff and work on outbreak detection and prevention. With food- and waterborne outbreaks, we work together with the Finnish Environment Institute.
