Veteran services are offered to veterans living in the wellbeing services county of Vantaa and Kerava who served in the Finnish wars in 1939-1945 and have a front-soldier badge, front-line service badge or front-line badge. The services are based on the Act on Front-line Veteran Rehabilitation (1184/1988) and the related Decree (1384/1988).
Services to support front-line veterans living at home became statutory from 1st November 2019. After the amendment, the content and scope of at-home services for front-line veterans and war invalids have been similar.
To receive the service, please contact senior counselling either by phone, email or through the Maisa client portal.
Social and health centres support the wellbeing of residents by offering basic healthcare services and social services.
