Service voucher for service housing (residential care home)

• The service voucher for service housing is intended for older people who need support and assistance with housing as well as care and attention, usually every day or for at least nine hours per month. These services cannot be provided in the client’s home.
• The service voucher includes care, attention and services in accordance with a service and care plan. If the client purchases from a service provider a service that is not included in the service and care plan, this is an additional service that the client has to pay for. The extra service paid for by the client themselves can involve, for example, cleaning, washing windows, or recreational activities.

Service voucher for long-term 24-hour housing services for older people

• The service voucher is income-related, and its value is based on the client’s net income. The client’s excess increases as their income increases. The value of the client-specific service voucher is determined according to the table below.
• You need a service voucher to receive a decision on 24-hour housing services.

Service voucher for short-term 24-hour housing services for older people during informal carer’s leave

• Informal carers who meet the eligibility criteria for informal care allowance and are entitled to statutory leave under the informal care allowance can use this service voucher. In addition, the client must have a short-term care decision.
• As an informal carer, you are entitled, under the informal care allowance contract, to take leave for usually two or three days per calendar month during which you are continuously, or with only minor breaks, providing care round the clock or every day.

Service voucher for informal carer’s day off at home

• The service voucher for informal carer’s day off at home is aimed at contracted informal carers or families in a similar situation.
• The value of the service voucher is 200 euros per month for category 1 and 300 euros per month for category 2.

Home care service voucher

• The service voucher is granted to clients who meet the home care client criteria.
• Your service needs will be assessed by a service coordinator in the client assistance unit. When drawing up a service plan, you will agree how the services will be organised for you. If you opt for a service voucher, it will be granted for a fixed period. The service coordinator will monitor the implementation of the service and update the service plan if your service needs change. The continuous home care service voucher is income-related.

In order to get a service voucher, you always need a service decision, which means that you have to undergo a service needs assessment.

Informal carer’s day off

• The service voucher for informal carer’s day off is aimed at contracted informal carers or families in a similar situation.
• The value of the service voucher is €200/month for category 1 and €300/month for category 2.

Personal assistance

• The disabled person decides where, how and when to be assisted in these activities and guides and directs the work of the assistant. The client guides the activities of the assistant and, together with them, carries out the activities included in the service decision.
• The content, duration, manner of performance, timing and quality of the personal assistance service must be in line with the decision of the authority, i.e. the service needs assessment carried out for you.

Home services for families with children

• Home services for families with children offer goal-oriented, planned and time-bound support for parenting and coping in everyday life, provided together with the family and partner organisations. The main objective is to strengthen the family’s own resources.
• The home services are provided on the basis of a cause that reduces functional capacity or a specific family or life situation. The causes that reduce functional capacity include illness, childbirth, disability or similar, such as exhaustion.

To be eligible for a service voucher, your service needs must be assessed by a representative of the wellbeing services county home service.
