Opioid substitution therapy
Prerequisites
The service is intended for opioid addicts. Before the substitution therapy starts, you will go through an assessment period. You can contact the substance abuse services to have your need for opioid substitution therapy assessed. At the end of the assessment period, a treatment plan is drawn up, which may include the start of opioid substitution therapy and/or another treatment option according to the treatment needs assessment.
You need a referral to access the service. You can get a referral by seeking an initial assessment, preferably at a walk-in clinic of the substance abuse and mental health services.
