Geriatric Outpatient Clinic, Kerava Health Centre

To access the clinic, you need a referral from your personal doctor, Aava Medical Centre or an inpatient ward of a health centre. For people under the age of 70, memory tests are carried out at the Neurology Outpatient Clinic at Peijas Hospital.

The examinations include an appointment with a memory nurse followed by a visit to a geriatrician. The memory nurse carries out the necessary tests and measurements, assesses the patient's functional capacity and interviews them and their loved one. The…geriatrician then carries out a comprehensive examination of the patient, reviews the results of the head MRI scan with the patient and their loved one, and makes a diagnosis.
