Seasonal vaccinations of influenza and Covid-19 have begun at health centres in the wellbeing services county of Vantaa and Kerava. Book an appointment electronically through the Maisa customer portal or the telephone booking, which is open Mon-Fri 8–15 at the number 09 4191 1300. Please note, that we use callback service.

Target groups for vaccinations

Check in the links below, to see if you belong to a target group who gets a vaccination free of charge. Please note, that the target groups for influenza and Covid-19 vaccinations are not the same. The target groups for Covid-19 vaccinations have changed. You can also book an appointment to the health centre for a vaccination, if you have acquired your own vaccine. 

During autumn 2025 the seasonal influenza vaccination is offered to following target groups: 

  1. Pregnant women.
  2. Persons aged 65 and above.
  3. Children between 6 months - 6 years.
  4. For those belonging to at-risk groups because of an illness or treatment.
  5. Persons beginning military service.
  6. Persons living or being in long-term institutional circumstances  
  7. Staff in social and health care as well as medical care, who is involved in the direct care of patients and clients.
  8. Those close to a person susceptible to serious influenza.
  9. Persons eligible for avian influenza vaccination. 

Booster doses of Covid-19 vaccination are recommended to following target groups:

  1. Elderly living in nursing homes.
  2. Elderly in home care which is organized regularly.
  3. Elderly persons in informal care.
  4. All those aged 75 and above.
  5. Persons of all ages with severe immunodeficiency.
  6. Persons over 18 years, who have at least two diseases increasing the risk for serious Covid-19 illness.

Booster dose is recommended for these groups regardless of previous Covid-29 vaccinations or suffered Covid-19 infections. It´s recommended that it is at least six months between the previous Covid-19 vaccination and the booster dose. If you have had the disease (under a month) before the vaccination time, you don´t need a booster dose for the protection this season.  

THL recommends a single-dose basic series for persons, who are not previously vaccinated for Covid-19.

COVID-19 Vaccine Preparations: In Finland, BioNTech-Pfizer’s Comirnaty vaccines are available for different age groups, as well as Hipra’s Bimervax vaccine for those over 12 years old. Hipra’s Bimervax is primarily recommended for individuals who, due to severe allergy or other medical reasons, cannot receive the Comirnaty vaccine. Appointments for Bimervax vaccination can only be booked by phone.

Vaccinations at health centres

  • Residents in Vantaa and Kerava county can book an appointment to any health centre. Both influenza and Covid-19 vaccinations can be given on the same visit.
  • Vaccines are administered at health centres, Maisa-booking is open.
  • Appointment booking by phone (only call-back) starts at 09 4191 1300 (Mon–Fri 8–15). Remember to cancel your appointment, if you can’t go to the booked appointment. Adults will be charged 56.70 euro for an uncancelled appointment. 

Corona vaccinations for persons under 12 years  

  • Are given centrally at Kerava health centre.
  • Booking only by phone at 09 4191 1071 Mon, Wed and Fri 9–11.

Influenza vaccinations at child health clinics

  • Influenza vaccinations are given at child health clinics to children under school age and their families with appointment. Covid-19 vaccinations are not given at child health clinics.
  • Booking in Maisa 16.9.2025–17.1.2026. By phone Mon-Fri 8–15 tel. 09 4191 5100.

Influenza vaccinations in the school health care and student health services

  • Only influenza vaccinations are given in school health care and student health services.
    In school health care and student health services students, who belong to the risk group due to illness or treatment, get the vaccination.
  • Students in the upper secondary school, who belong to the risk group due to illness or treatment or study social and health care, get the vaccination in the school health care and student health services.
  • Public health nurses inform student/students about the arrangements for vaccinations.

Seasonal vaccinations for risk groups in hospital services 

  • Staff at hospital services (Katriina, Kerava, and Peijas) will take care of the vaccination of their patients.
  • You do not need to make a vaccination appointment. 

Seasonal vaccinations for risk groups in home care and care 

  • Staff at 24-hour service housing, communal housing units, or home care will take care of the vaccination of their clients.
  • You do not need to make a vaccination appointment.
