If you need support for more than one of the issues below, can no longer manage in your own home despite home-based support services and need a safe place to live that offers help and support around the clock, you might need 24-hour service housing.
The service can help you with, for example:
- managing financial matters, e.g. paying bills and applying for benefits (you must be able to take the main responsibility for them) - daily routines, e.g. laundry and cleaning - taking care of your wellbeing and health, e.g. monitoring your wellbeing, sleep-wake cycle, hygiene or medication - increasing social interaction - finding meaningful activities, e.g. studies, hobbies, work or day activities
24-hour service housing for adults includes a meal service.
You live in a housing unit, where you have your own apartment or room, and the staff is available around the clock. The service is rehabilitative in nature, and the aim is that each client is responsible for doing their laundry and cleaning their rooms, for example, with assistance. In most housing units, residents may also take on responsibilities, such as cooking shifts, which provide meaningful activities and encourage participation.
24-hour service housing for adults includes the most support among the housing services.
